The Palmer Municipal Fire Department has been serving the Palmer Township Community for more then 35 years. We are a totally volunteer department with the exception of the Fire Commissioner who is an employee of the township. The buildings and equipment are fully funded by the taxpayers of the township with much of the safety equipment being purchased using Fireman's Relief funds.

45th Annual Banquet
The annual event was held on Saturday, May 21 at the Lotus Conference Center-Hampton Inn, Lower Nazareth. Approximately 100 people were in attendance.
The annual Fire Department memorial scholarships were awarded to two area students.Junior Cadet Camp
As part of the Palmer P.D. Junior Cadet Camp the Fire Department held a fire/safety talk for the 25 cadets at Fire Station I. Topics of discussion were, Home Safety Plans, calling 911, “get out, stay out”, and a brief history of the fire department.

In remembrance of the 10th Anniversary of 911, the City of Easton invited the area Police, Fire, and EMS organizations to Scott Park in the City on Sunday, September 11, 2011 to honor all emergency personnel.
Mayor Sal Panto, Councilmen from Easton and local politicians were part of the ceremony. Incident Reports for 2011

At 1306 HRS. Station 27 was dispatched for a vehicle fire on S. 25th St. in the area of the entrance to Easton Area High School. While units were responding N.C. E-911 was receiving multiple calls for a working fire.

At 0839 HRS. F27 was dispatched with F53 to assist at Rt. 248 and the southbound entrance ramp of Rt. 33 for a cement tanker rollover with entrapment.
Station 27 was dispatched to 2500 Nazareth Rd. (Dunkin Donuts) for a motor vehicle fire. NC E-911 received numerous calls for a working fire. 2751 (Commissioner D.A. Grube) was on location within 5 minutes after the call, and updated responding units that the engine compartment was fully involved and there were exposure problems.
A major fire occured in a storage area outside and spread to the inside of National Plastics Co., Inc. This fire required a considerable amount of support. Click here to view the full story.

Station 27 was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. EMS on location updated incoming units that they needed a door pop on one vehicle. Arriving fire units quickly determined that due to the injuries of the victims on the passenger side of the vehicle, the entire side needed to be removed.
