Fire Prevention 2003

The 2003 Fire Prevention program was a total success. THANK YOU to all that helped it turn out that way! Many children, and adults, were educated in fire safety during Fire Prevention Week and the two weeks following. A total of 168 hours were logged.

Open House was a HUGE success! 150 children and 30 adults went through the Burn Safety Trailer.

The following is a complete list of places and events that the volunteer firefighters from PMFD visited during Fire Prevention:

October 6 - Open House at Fire Station 1
October 7 - Tracy Elementary School - 700 students and staff

The Palmer Community Days Committee arranged a visit from Med-Evac. The four person crew answered questions about their program for about an hour and a half. When the crew departed, they had a 5th member! Assistant Chief Delmar Grube's wife Diane (an organizer of the weekend) talked the pilot into a ride back to LVHC.
