Station 27 was dispatched to 2500 Nazareth Rd. (Dunkin Donuts) for a motor vehicle fire. NC E-911 received numerous calls for a working fire. 2751 (Commissioner D.A. Grube) was on location within 5 minutes after the call, and updated responding units that the engine compartment was fully involved and there were exposure problems.

Along with Station 27, engine 2311 was on day time auto dispatch and Command added an engine from Station 24 because of the possible exposure issue.

A single 1 ½” preconnect was put in service from 2412 and a 4” supply line from 2311 to 2412 was layed in case more water was needed.  The southbound lanes of Rt. 248 were shut down at Sales St. to allow fire equipment to stage in the area. The fire was placed under control at 1253 HRS.
