At 1200 HRS. Station 27 was dispatched to a special request call for 2721 (ladder truck) to respond to a working fire at 991 W. Pennsylvania Ave. Plainfield Township. The location was a recycling business for automobiles.

A crew of 5 responded and flowed water using a tanker shuttle for approximately six hours. 2721 and the crew were relieved at 1830 HRS. by a crew from Bethlehem Township with 1421 (tower).
Capt. A. Carr coordinated operations at the scene. 8 Volunteers were on stand by in station 27-1 and 27-2.
