Station 27 was dispatched to a working brush fire at the dead end of Clover Hollow Rd.
Palmer P.D. on location reported a large area of brush was burning, and the fire was moving rapidly to the east because of the high winds.
A total of 7 fire departments, 50 firefighters, and 11 apparatus were necessary to control the fire. After a short investigation it was determined that an illegal burn was the cause of the fire. It was estimated that 4-5 acres were burnt.
A/C K. Sobieski had 27 Command and Capt. A. Carr was assigned to Operations.
