This year’s theme from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is:
“Charge Into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.”
We’re helping spread the word about making smart choices when it comes to buying, charging, and recycling lithium-ion batteries — because the wrong move can lead to a fire.
To kick off Fire Prevention Week, our crews visited the Active Learning Center and The Children’s Garden to talk with the kids about fire prevention and fire safety. The children had a blast learning about what firefighters do, exploring our trucks up close, and taking home their very own firefighter helmets! 👩🚒🚒
Check out some photos from our first round of fire prevention talks below — and remember, fire safety starts with you! 🔋🔥 |
