At approximately 20:44 hours on New Years Day the Palmer Municipal Fire Department was dispatched to Forks Township as part of a Second Alarm. Battalion Chief Sobieski, Truck 27-22, Engine 27-12, and utility 27-43 responded. Palmer crews assisted Forks perform various functions until being released back into service later in the evening.
