m., PMFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries on Main Street at the Route 33 northbound off-ramp. Within minutes, DC Sobieski arrived on scene along with an ALS ambulance from Suburban EMS. Following a rapid scene assessment and consultation with EMS, DC Sobieski requested the incident be upgraded to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment and requested Forks Fire for additional assistance.

Due to the vehicle’s position, the operational plan required a full roof removal and dash lift. Crews from Rescue 27-13 and Engine 2, working alongside members from Forks Fire, successfully removed the roof and extricated the passenger, transferring patient care to EMS within 28 minutes.

PMFD would like to thank Forks Fire, Suburban EMS, and Palmer Police for their assistance and the strong working relationship demonstrated during this incident.
