Chief Dean was faithful to Palmer Township and the Palmer Municipal Fire Department. He displayed great passion of the Fire Service and the communities he served, and an instrumental part of creating what PMFD is today, a Municipal Fire Department. Chief Dean was the mastermind and one of 15 Charter Members transforming the Fire Department from Palmer Township Fire Company to Palmer Municipal Fire Department in 1965.

Chief Dean served as Fire Chief of Palmer Municipal Fire Department from 1977 to 1991. Even after his retirement from duty, Chief Dean would attend PMFD events and Palmer Township community events always offering his wisdom. He will be greatly missed! God speed Chief, we have it from here.
