On 2/17/2018 PMFD was dispatched to Chrin Hauling on Van Buren Road for the AFA. While enroute units were advised of a smoke condition within the building and 27-51 requested a re-dispatch of a Commercial Structure fire. 27-53 arrived on scene and met with the key holder who reported hearing multiple explosions within the building, and smoke down to the floor. As units arrived on scene crews were quickly able to determine the fire was contained to the engine compartment and underside of a garbage truck being stored within the building. Crews stretched an 13/4 handline and extinguished the fire as the remaining crews ventilated. A heavy wrecker was called to remove the damaged truck from the building.
