| Station 27 was dispatched to a severe auto accident for rescue assistance. Chief J. Seip (5351) was first on location. He reported one vehicle into a tree at Rt. 248 and Rt. 33. He also reported two class 1 victims, both unconscious, with heavy entrapment. 5312 arrived first with 2741 close behind. Command instructed the crew from 2741 to work with the crew from 5312. A medical helicopter was put on stand by. Patient one was extricated in 10 minutes. Because of the severity of the damage, patient two was extricated in 32 minutes. Both patients were transported by ground. 27 was released at 1526 hrs. It was a busy day for the volunteers at 27. They responded to five calls from 0700 hrs. to 1530 hrs. |
