| Station 27 was alerted to a fully involved motor vehicle fire on Rt. 22 east bound just west of the 25th St. exit. Traveling west bound 2753 (Assistant Chief Grube) confirmed the vehicle had a fully involved engine compartment fire, and it was definitely east bound in the area of the EAHS athletic fields. 2751
had command. With all traffic stopped east bound 2742 was delayed
in traffic. 2712 was on location first (they traveled west in the
east bound lanes using the shoulder of the road. After a quick knock
down using one 1 ¾ “ line, all units were cleared at
1601 hrs.
