April 30, 2003 - 1228 hours - Dryer fire at commeical laundry

While some units operated at a fatal accident on Route 33, other units from Station #27 responded to a structure showing smoke on Route 248 at the Crossing Coin Laundry.  #2753 was command, and enroute to the scene, requested mutual aide from Station #51 and #53.  Palmer P.D. was the first arriving unit.  The officer reported smoke showing from inside the business.  Upon further investigation, it was determined that clothing in two dryers was on fire.  PPV was used to evacuate the smoke.  Units also checked for extension due to fire damage to a wall and ceiling tile.  No extension was found.  All units operated for one hour.  Station #50 responded with #5021 and had #5311 and #5312 on location.
