At 2256 HRS. fire units from Station 27 were dispatched to 2455 Park Ave. (Palmer Park Mall) for an activated fire alarm-water flow. Commissioner D.A. Grube was on location at 2301 HRS. reporting nothing showing.

While doing his 360 of the building 2751 reported an activated sprinkler system with water flowing out of the system drains and the water gong sounding on
side C of the building. At the same time 2758 (LT. Joe Lasso) reported a smoke condition in the area of The Pet Store.

The call was upgraded from an activated fire alarm to a commercial structure fire.

Commissioner D.A. Grube had 27 Command, Asst. Chief Andy Carr had Operations, and Lt. Emilio DeNisi was assigned Accountability. 2512, 1413, and 1421 were added to the call.

The interior crew forced entry on the security gate to the Executive Cellular store and reported they had located the fire in the bathroom. The fire was out, it was extinguished by the sprinkler system. Various fans were put in service to ventilate the building and one roof hatch was opened to assist. 1413 was sent to the sprinkler room on the C side to secure the sprinkler system. 1421 was staged in the parking lot and 2512 was held at station to cover any other calls.

Just as units were securing the scene Station 27 was dispatched to assist Stations 14 and 17 at a working structure fire on Farmersville Rd.
