P.M.F.D. was dispatched at 0026 hrs. for a possible basement fire at 2636 Tamlynn Ct.  A Palmer Township P.D. unit on location 2 minutes after dispatch reported smoke showing from the townhouse and some flames were visible. 2752 (A/C A. Carr) had 27 Command and requested a 1st alarm assignment. 5341 was dispatched on the initial dispatch for R.I.T. Palmer P.D. started to evacuate the attached dwellings.

Upon arrival of 2751 (Fire Commissioner D.A. Grube) entry was made into the dwelling to investigate what was burning. A commercial floor sander on fire was located in a first floor bathroom at the top of the basement steps.
The fire was extinguished using a water can extinguisher. The crew from 2721 checked for extension and started ventilation on the dwelling.

Units were available at 0145 HRS.

*NOTE: 14 minutes into the call an automated fire alarm for 2600 Northampton St. (Manor Health Care) was dispatched. 2311 was requested to respond to the call with 5341 to monitor in case help was needed.
