August 17, 2009 - Sector 2 Drill

Stations 23 (W. Easton), 24 (Wilson Boro), 27 (Palmer Township), and 28 (Williams Township) meet at the parking garage for Easton Hospital for a very productive and operational drill. 52 Firefighters were split into groups to go through 3 stations.

Chief M. Collins (24) explained the standpipe system at the parking deck. 2411 feed the system as 3 firefighters were sent to the top floor to advance the charged line across the parking area.

Chief W. Bogari, JR. instructed proper rappelling techniques and assisted in training those who have never done it and wanted to give it a try. A/C A. Carr taught aerial ops. Proper placement, safety, and climbing techniques were demonstrated.

After 2 1/2  hours of rotating through the 3 evolutions all attendees were excited about when and where the next drill would be located.

A good time was had by all. It was good to put names, faces, and voices together so when and if the time comes that we all have to work together we will be familiar with each other.
