Station 27 members were cleaning equipment at Fire Station I when someone started pounding on the window to tell them there was an accident with entrapment at Rt. 248 & Crest Blvd. Lt. K. McPherson ran out of the station door towards the intersection. The Lt. contacted NC E-911 via portable radio to report a two vehicle accident with one vehicle on its’ roof with one victim trapped inside.

2713 and 2742 were on location securing the vehicles before the call was dispatched. The Para-Tech rescue struts were used to stabilize the roll over.

Extrication was completed in 6 minutes. Other units on location secured the other vehicle and controlled fluids and cleaned up the debris on the roadway. Units were cleared at 0100 HRS.
