August 4, 2009 - 1152 hours - Kitchen Fire
 


Station 27 was dispatched to a dwelling fire (kitchen) at 471 S. Nulton Ave. Day time automatic dispatch sent one engine from Station 23 (Safety First Fire Co.-W. Easton). Palmer P.D. unit on location updated incoming apparatus. A grease fire on top of the oven had been extinguished by a neighbor, there was a heavy smoke condition in the entire dwelling, not sure of any extension into the wall.

Two firefighters were sent in to check for extension using a T.I.C. Ventilation was then started to remove the smoke from the interior. CO levels were also monitored before the occupants were allowed back into the dwelling.

All units were clear at 1258 HRS.
