At 2039 HRS. Station 27 was dispatched to 27 Lower Way Rd. for a chimney fire. A neighbor saw flames coming from the chimney. 2751 (Commissioner D. A. Grube) could see the flames while enroute to the address and requested 2521 (Forks Township-Ladder) since 2721 was out of service.

Upon the arrival of 2713, a 1 ¾” preconnect was stretched to the B side of the dwelling to extinguish the burning chimney. The main on 2521 was used to reach the top of the dwelling to check for extension and damage.

All units were available at 2157 HRS.
