October 11, 2007 - 1226 hours - Dwelling Fire
 

Station #27 was alerted to a working dwelling fire at 2727 Jones Blvd. The first fire unit on location was #2721 reporting heavy smoke showing from the second floor and all occupants were evacuated safely.

The two man crew from #2721 immediately started ventilation on the roof. The crew from #2713 advanced a 1 3/4” preconnect line into the second flood area of the dwelling. Once the fire was under control the interior crew hydraulically ventilated and also made their own vent hole in the roof.

Other Mutual Aid departments at the scene were Stations #14, #17, #23, and #24. A total of five apparatus and 32 firefighters were on location. #14 and #17 combined for R.I.T. and #2450 handled accountability.
All fire units were clear at 1524 hrs.
