July 9, 2007 - 1525 hours - Animal in Distress
 

Station #27 was dispatched to 1158 Stones Crossing Road for a dog that was trapped under a shed. The caller stated the dog was chasing a ground hog and is now stuck under the shed.

Lt. C. Miller (2757) was the first fire unit on location. Command confirmed the dog was trapped under a very large shed (20’ X 30’). The dog was having difficulty breathing.

In 96 degree heat one high pressure air bag was used to lift the shed approximately 6 “. After a cold drink of water for the dog and the 8 Volunteers all units were cleared at 1602 hours.


And the dog was back home in good spirits.
