| P.M.F.D. was alerted to a working dwelling fire at 27 Olde Penn Dr. Original dispatch stated smoke and flames through the roof. Captain A. Carr (#2755) was on location at 1753 HRS. with Captain C. vanHorne (#2754) close behind. It was quickly learned from a neighbor that no one was home. Forcible entry was made on the front door. Command reported smoke from Division II, side C-D. Station #25 (Forks Township) was requested for #2521, and Station #53 (Hecktown) was dispatched as R.I.T.
After forcing the front door it was determined entry could not be made to Division II because of a large amount of personal items blocking the stairs.
Forcible entry was then attempted on the rear door. That also failed because the door was blocked with items from the inside. Entry was finally made through patio doors on Division II, side B. The Division II crew quickly located the fire in the kitchen which was on side A, Division II of a twin dwelling. The fire was declared under control at 1826 hrs.
Station 27-1 was covered by #2512 and #1421. Station 27-2 was covered by #2312.
At approximately 1804 hrs. #2512 and #1421 responded to an automatic fire alarm on Danforth Dr. Nothing was found and all units returned to Station 27-2 for the stand by.
All fire units were cleared at 2118 hrs. The fire is under investigation.
