| Station #27 was dispatched for a dwelling fire, with a possible burn victim at 2613 Hermitage Ave.
Capt. A. Carr was on location in four minutes. Command reported that neighbors stated they had extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher. They thought the fire was confined to the microwave oven. No entry was made by Command because of the heavy smoke condition.
The crew from #2711 entered the dwelling with SCBA’s, T.I.C. and hand tools. Division I reported the fire was out, microwave oven was being moved outside, there was no extension, and PPV was needed on side C for ventilation.
11 Volunteers manning two pieces of apparatus were cleared at
1830 hrs. Because of the time of day, the automatic dispatched department, Station #53 was on location with an engine and crew.
Three people were treated on location for smoke inhalation by
Suburban EMS.
