| Fire Station 27 was alerted to a structure fire at the Palmer Super Center at Wm. Penn Highway and Stones Crossing Rd. at 1220 hours. Lt. C. Miller (2757) was the first fire officer on location. Upon his arrival NC 911 gave an update that the fire was thought is be out. Command was told the fire was in the men’s bathroom which is located to the rear of Countrywide Home Loans. A heavy smoke condition was found in the common hallway where the bathrooms were located. The interior crew checked for extension using a Thermal Imaging Camera. PPV was used to evacuate the smoke from the building. Fire damage was confined to an exhaust fan in the ceiling. Quick thinking by an employee saved the day. 11 Volunteer Firefighters responded with three pieces of equipment. All units cleared at 1321 hours.
