The Palmer Municipal Fire Department has been approved for a Volunteer Fire Company and Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant through the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

The $12, 653.87 will be used to defray the cost of the 500 MHz radio equipment that was purchased earlier this year by the fire department.
